Caramel Sauce

  • Free From: Gluten, Wheat, Soy, Sesame, Potato and Egg
Ingredients:
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 50g butter
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1 tablespoon maize cornflour
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cream (optional)
For a dairy free option try substituting ¼ cup of coconut cream for the butter and cream

Method :

1. Melt together the sugar and butter in a microwave proof jug by cooking  on high for 30 seconds.

2. Make a thin paste with 1 tablespoon of cornflour with ½ cup water.

3. Add to jug. Microwave again for 3 minutes.

4. Serve hot. For special occasions add 2 tablespoons of cream prior to serving.


Chocolate Sauce
  •  Free From: Gluten, Wheat, Soy, Sesame, Potato and Egg
Ingredients:
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 scooped tablespoon of golden syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder

Method:

1. Melt together the butter and golden syrup in a microwave proof jug by cooking for 1 minute on high.

2. Add cocoa powder and mix well.

3. Enjoy


 Lemon sauce
  • Free From: Gluten, Wheat, Soy, Sesame, Potato, and Egg
Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ tablespoon gluten free custard powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¾ cup water

Method:

1. In a microwave proof jug mix together custard powder, golden syrup, sugar.

2. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.

3. Microwave on high for 3 minutes stirring after each minute.
